A long-time high school graduation tradition in Arkansas and much of the states has been to mail graduation invitations to family and friends as an announcement as much as an invitation. You want great aunt Bea to know you achieved your diploma. Many times, loved ones will congratulate you with a card and money.
Traditionally high school themed cards were ordered from Jostens or any company your school uses for high school senior memorabilia. In the last 10-15 years, this has shifted to cards created using your senior portraits. Your photographer would design and print these for you. Most recently, with the age of purchasing digital images, many apps and websites make this easy for you to design and print yourself.
Popular grad card sites include Shutterfly, mPix, Canva, and Zazzle among many others. Always keep in mind your images do not look the same printed everywhere. Following the suggestions of your photographer is the best way to ensure your senior pictures print with perfect color and quality.
Announcement verses invitation. These can be one in the same or they can serve two different purposes. If your high school allows you a certain number of tickets, you can't just invite 50 people. In this case, your announcement might ask that they cheer you on in prayer or join you for a party after. It can simply be sharing your news as well.
After you receive money, mail a thank-you card. These cards are another opportunity to show off your Kimberly McNabb Photography senior photos. I encourage your cap and gown images on the thank you card.
